It all started in the spring of 2000 when Greg Hassakis opened a Chapter S Corporation called Pacific Northwest Healthcare, Inc.  The corporation was originally a mental healthcare consulting and a training company.  The company conducted trainings in behavior management for the nursing home and assisted living industry.  Greg has been recognized nationally by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and has been featured in their publications on his behavior management techniques.

Greg has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology; Master’s in Drug and Alcohol studies, PhD in Metaphysics and is also a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist.  Greg has worked in the Drug and Alcohol Treatment and Prevention Industry for over 31 years. His work experience includes serving as the Director of chemical dependency in out-patient clinics, residential treatment facility and in private adolescent psychiatric hospitals. He has also been an adjunct faculty member at BoiseStateUniversity teaching in the Environmental Health Department. He taught the Drugs Use and Abuse class. He has served as a consultant in the law enforcement community in the area of cults, gangs, hate groups and drugs. In addition to providing treatment and administrative services to the drug and alcohol industry, he has been a national seminar and workshop leader throughout the country.

In 2003 but the quality of the programs continued with the hiring of several new therapists, including Karen in 2005.

In 2005 Greg authored the cornerstone philosophy which all programs of Pacific Northwest Healthcare are based upon, The 12 Principles for Life Program. The theory is based on rational emotive therapy, which provides the client an alternative solution to life’s challenges.

Principles for Life

·         My mind and body are powerful tools and are capable of healing the Body, Mind, and Spirit.

·         I have the ability to rise above life’s challenges.

·         I will no longer use the past as an excuse as how to live the present.

·         When making decisions, I will remember about who I want to be and what is important to me.

·         I will not allow alcohol, drugs, or other self-defeating behaviors to prevent me from being me.

·         Meditate and or Pray daily.

·         I will seek out other people who have similar values about life.

·         I will seek out all of which life has to offer.

·         I will accept and take responsibility for all of my thoughts, actions, and behaviors.

·         I will remain positive in all situations.

·         I will enjoy life and all of its challenges.

·         I will maintain balance in my life with my Spirit, Mind, and Body.

2006 brought even more changes to both Greg and the Company with his marriage to Karen Andreason-Hassakis. Karen works in the clinics as a Life Coach, author and seminar leader. In addition to being a Certified Life Coach, she is also a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and is certified in the DISC Personality Program. She has additional education in drug & alcohol abuse and treatment, psychology, cognitive thinking, anger management and children’s issues. Her field of specialty is providing Life Coaching to women and their life’s challenges using Clinical Hypnosis and the Principles for Life Program for various issues.

In 2008 major changes were made to the structure of Pacific Northwest Healthcare. In May of 2008 the corporation purchased a drug testing program and will launch the program nationally in June of 2008. This company will operate under the name of Pacific Northwest Drug Testing Services.

Other changes to the corporate structure include making MindWorks USA a standalone company. MindWorks USA will now represent the comedy shows and hypnosis clients by Greg and Karen.

The clinics under Pacific Northwest Healthcare will now be called LifeChoiceCenter for Change. These clinics provide services to various court districts specializing in drug and alcohol treatment, anger management and cognitive self change programs. The programs have been accepted by courts throughout the United States for over 31 years.

In addition to these changes a new entity was established by Karen Andreason-Hassakis under the name of LifeWorks USA. LifeWorks USA was established to provide coaching services, clinical hypnosis, consulting services, seminars and trainings in the community and around the country, groups and corporations. LifeWorks USA will also work with individuals as well as groups specializing in women’s issues.

Together Greg and Karen under LifeWorks USA will write programs, seminars, ebooks and workbooks. They will operate traditional and alternative mental health locally and throughout the United States

All of our companies will operate traditional and alternative mental health offices throughout the United States and are looking for a great 2009.
